With 10 years experience providing free guest lodging in individual host homes to patients and families coming to the Philadelphia area for medical care, HfH will assist your city and/or institution in every aspect of creating a program for those seeking treatment in your community. For hospitals or medical departments We'll provide you the tools to determine if your patients will benefit from a free lodging program and show how addressing patient and family housing needs promotes family centered care, is good for the community and your institution. We’ll also train your personnel to meet the lodging needs of patients traveling to your facility for treatment. For individuals and community groups HfH will take you step by step to establish a program for providing free in-home hospitality to patients coming to your community, including: How to recruit and train host families to provide lodging. How to work with hospital departments and make placements for their patients. How to establish an organization and community board. For those who are associated with hospital hospitality houses Does your House often turn patient-families away for lack of space? Would you like a way to expand the lodging capacity of your House other than by an onerous captial/building campaign? HfH has been providing in-home lodging for several Ronald McDonald Houses in the Philadelphia area when their facilities are filled to capacity. We'll help you create a program in your community so you never have to turn a guest family away because of lack of space in your House.
